The Director of Youth Ministries will plan, develop, lead, and help grow a ministry of education, nurture, spiritual growth, evangelism, service, and discipleship for youth and their families at DCC. This position will be responsible for providing spiritual formation for our youth in Middle and High School. This position will work in collaboration with a team which includes the Pastor of Spiritual Formation, church staff, and others dedicated to youth and families.
At DCC, youth ministry is defined as those in 5th-12th grades. This is a part-time position which would require some regular office hours as well as time outside normal office administrative office hours in order to meet with youth and their families.
Job Type:
Part-time, 15-25 hours, some hours flexible (may include evenings and weekends).

Preferably two-year college degree or college credit, preferably in a related field

Able to plan and coordinate youth activities including: retreats, social events, mission opportunities, discipleship, small group meetings, and worship while helping connect youth and families
Willing to teach Christian Education with an emphasis on the Youth in such areas as: Sunday school, Confirmation (w/pastor), other education opportunities
Able to direct, coordinate, and/or develop curriculum for all planned youth instructional times
Able to attend and participate in weekly staff meeting for prayer and to provide or review plans
Meet and communicate with parents of the youth on a regular basis
This position also will be coupled with candidates who have gifts and skills in one of the following areas:
– Music (vocal, instrumental, leading worship experience, etc.)
– College students/Young Adults (ministers to and integrates college students and young adults into the life of the church)
– Mission outreach (mobilizes youth and adults to provide hands on ministry on a monthly basis)
– Community engagement (utilizing existing and creating new church partnerships and programs for ministry and engagement)
– Family Ministry (Organize staff and volunteers to create and sustain ministry to children, youth and families)

Facilities/Building Assistant
Dewitt Community Church is seeking a Facilities/Building Assistant for evenings and weekends. This position is responsible for building cleaning, set up and take down of rooms for church events and meetings, snow and lawn maintenance. Ability to handle special projects such as painting, light mechanical and electrical, and flooring work is ideal. Candidates must have a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical skills, ability to use computer systems, emails, and cell phones, and be able to work evenings and weekends. Demonstrated written and oral communications with the ability to demonstrate compassion, teamwork, and customer service a must.
