Dr. Kay Paulsen
Kay Paulsen does not let any grass grow under her feet. When she is not visiting church family in their homes, the hospital, nursing homes, restaurants or coffee shops or working with the many facets of Congregational Care, Stephen Ministry Training and Leadership, Compassion Cooks, Prayer Chain, Prayer Shawl Ministry or planning events for our seniors, she enjoys spending time with her granddaughters, Isabelle and Genevieve, and is involved in son, Joshua’s, Special Olympic activities. An avid swimmer, Kay swims a mile several times a week and, for fun, checked swimming across Skaneateles Lake off her bucket list this summer. Her family benefits from the fact that she loves to create in her kitchen. In her “past life” Kay was a teacher of music in the public school, college and university setting. She currently serves as a private vocal instructor for her daughter, Laura Enslin’s studio, CNY Singing Garden, and Signature Syracuse as well as serving as music director for a newly formed adult special needs theater group, Front Row Players. In her spare time, not much of that, she likes to knit or crochet, read and is especially fond of being in the woods, preferably near a lake or other body of water. She and her WCNY-FM radio personality husband, Bruce, have lived in Syracuse since 2008.
