I was raised as a Catholic and kept going to church through high school. Then, my work schedule kept me up late on Saturday nights, so my attendance dwindled. By the time I made it into Nazareth College, I had stopped going altogether. Then, a friend reached out to me at a low point in my life, and I decided to give church another chance. So I started attending a church in Rochester, and eventually I rededicated my life to Christ. The love my friends had for me was unlike anything I had ever known, and my life was transformed because of them. Since then, I’ve done my best to share that love with everyone I meet.
My dream for DeWitt Community Church is that we would become a church who is unashamedly invested in the younger generations. I firmly believe that a church’s heart keeps beating only when its youth are being fed well. And so the job of those who have come before would be to invest in the lives of these kids in all the ways that they can.
Outside of church, I do a lot with local theatre companies (as of late, focusing primarily on shows at the Central New York Playhouse). I also play bass and other instruments for a local band, All Poets & Heroes. Basically, I love doing all things music! I keep learning new songs for classical guitar in my spare time, as well as songs from other genres of music. I have a soft spot in my heart for all dogs, and I spend as much time as I can with mine. My favorite part of any meal is dessert, and that’s primarily what I enjoy making, especially tiramisu. Aside from music and food, one of my hidden talents is knitting. I think I do a pretty good job at it. Yolo.
