Lord God,

We come to you today with abundant thankfulness for a year filled with your gracious love. There were days when it was so easy to sing your praises from the mountaintops, and days when we asked: “where are you Lord?” But through the entire year, you never left our side. You heard every cry, every cheer, every thank you. You loved us when we failed and you loved us when we succeeded. You caught us when we fell and you held us when we were afraid.

As we enter into 2018, we ask that you continue to stand by us, to lead us closer to you and the path you chose for us. Help us to not be fearful of that path. Help us make trusting you a new year resolution we work hard to keep. Remind us that all we need comes from you and that you can accomplish more than we can even imagine! Help us to feel your peace as we draw nearer to you and trust your ways.

Lord, as we prepare to bring our personal prayers to you, we ask you to hold Cris, Aimee, Robin, Hugh, Morgan, Nathan, Erich, Suellen, Beth, Bill, Mark & Ann in your loving and healing arms. Surround them and their families with your peace and strength to face their situation, and let them feel the strength of our prayers today.

Now, Lord, we bring our personal prayers of concern and praise to you.
