Chancel Choir

Director: Abel Searor
Rehearsal: Thursdays 7:00 – 8:00pm & Sunday morning at 10:15am

All rehearsals are held in DCC Choir Room, located below the sanctuary and accessed from the Narthex via the stairs to the lower level.

An integral part of the worship service at DeWitt Community Church, the Chancel Choir prepares a variety of musical selections for the 11:00 am worship service. Professional section leaders aid in learning parts and strengthening each section. Music-reading skill is a plus, but not required for participation. If you love to sing, come join the Chancel Choir musical family.Choir-Rehersal-artistic

Treble Makers

Open to students in grades K-5, the Treble Makers make music in a fun, safe, no-pressure environment. Kids learn the art of handbell ringing, as well as basic note and rhythm reading. The group rehearses every Sunday during the school year, and periodically performs at Sunday services. Auditions and experience are not required for membership.

Children and teens who have played an instrument or have been in chime choir or young ringers for at least a year are invited to join this fun group. They will continue learning bell techniques and music reading. They play in service 4-5 times a year.

Director: Gloria Trode
Rehearsals: Sundays at 10:00 AM, Room 9

Chimers Chime Choir

This is for children who have no musical experience. They will usually play Tone Chimes and will learn basic bell techniques and beginning note reading. In the past, they have performed as angels and shepherds in the Christmas pageant. They play in service about 2-4 times a year.
